I've been using Kakao as my main form of communication by phone during my time here (7 months). Looking back over my messages I've noticed that messages I've sent to some people months ago are still showing as unread (there's a 1 next to my message sent).

A possibility is that I got blocked but it would seem unnecessary as I didn't say anything insulting or rude. However, with one friend I sent a few messages through kakao which were unread but had her on a different app and asked her if she got them. She said she checked and nothing new was there. She told me to add her again then try sending messages in a new chat and still she didn't get them. It started working again when she added me and started a new chat.

Anyone have problems like this with Kakao talk? I've lost a lot of contacts by this happening and I have never had this problem before through other apps like whatsapp, viber, line (would happen a bit on line but not as much). I would use a different app but a lot of people here only use kakao.

They blocked you or re-installed Kakao. Why are you checking messages from months ago. Move on.

They've updated Katalk a lot recently. Now, you can set Katalk to only receive messages from people on your friends list. Like the poster said above, they've either blocked you or "hid" you on their friends list.

It means people are ignoring you. Although I expect a stubborn reply that this isn't the case. The truth hurts I guess. Laughing

Ugh... dude when a girl does that, that's HER way of telling you you have no chance and to go away. When you message a girl via a different app to see whether she "got" your messages you just come off as a creep. The beta is through the roof with this guy, someone get him some help.

There probably ignoring you, but it's also a super finicky app that doesn't always do what you want it to.

ROFL at people ignoring you. That says a lot about you right there that you probably didn't want to be known.

Look at the bright side, he could make up false identities and troll other boards, saying he works at the embassy as a top secret agent, briefs Obama weekly, makes 250k, and has a smoking hot wife at home. Sound about right Dan? Laughing

if a conversation is deleted with messages unread, I don't know if those can ever be cleared.
Maybe she has a boyfriend.
Alternatively, maybe they're just not that into you.

no i've had this happen to me, don't worry bro

kakaotalk would literally DELETE the person i'm talking to on my account and automatically set them to "blocked" friends.

it has something to do with the manual addition of their phone numbers via your contact list and you clicking "add".

when you do one out of the correct order, it would sometimes glitch up.

that ETERNAL "1" probably means it was either lost or forgotten, or they deleted the chat room before reading it.

doesn't ALWAYS mean they're not into you lol and yeah, if you keep track of your friends list, it always fluctuates lol some people are deleting and activating their accounts and switching phones and stuff like that
