I'm sorry if this is an annoying question. I am going to try calling around but I seldom get actual answers when talking to government agencies.
I did my fingerprinting for CBC today. The only problem is I still have a license from the state I previously lived in, and the sheriff's office where I got it done said I had to use the same address as the one on the license.
I'm wondering if on the form, I can request it be sent to my current address or if that is just for companies.
It wouldn't be too big a deal. The place I used to live, the landlord has no problem at all considering me a resident and she still lives there. She has said she'd have no problem sending me the results or even mailing anything out I need if it needs to be mailed out from there. The only pain here is that's just more time till I get my hands on it. I'm going for an apostille in person once it gets back to me so the sooner its in my hands the better, but I don't want to be rejected just because my address situation is confusing.
Any advice? Similar situations? I feel like there are a lot of people doing this right out of college and this has to be a fairly common occurrence. |

Hi Dastraction Wolf,
I just did my fingerprints about two weeks ago at the sheriff's office. I was also using my driver's license from the previous state that I lived in. I explained that to the woman at the counter and she said that it wasn't a problem and typed in my current address. You might try going to a different sheriff's office (if there's another one nearby) and see if they'll be more accommodating.
Best of luck with the paperwork struggle.
