My Visa expired on the 24th of September 2013.
I travelled out of the country from August 10th to September 27th.
I returned as a tourist under the visa exemption agreement
I am now looking for work.
Has anyone experience with getting a new E2 visa in a similar situation?
I have been told by two different people(Consulate and Immigration) that because I have been out of the country for less than three months I do not need to submit new documents as they are on file with immigration.
Anyone have any experience with this? Did anyone run into any problems doing this?Did they require new documents from you?
(ps i know i was told by Immi that it's ok but as you all know what your told and the reality can be vastly different over here) |

You are fine as far as immigration and the MOE are concerned.
Public schools will require a new set anyway, regardless of what immigration wants (they are an employer requirement).
Most hagwons won't care as long as you can get a visa confirmation number from immigration.
