Hello
I would like to move to Korea in few years. But one question..is there much of psytrance scene these days. I read few years back psytrance is about one club night a month in Seoul.... Anyone know of any outdoor parties??

Cheers.

There aren't many venues dedicated to psytrance here, but there are a handful of clubs that play it during their afterhours. In the big clubs here it's mostly electro house/progressive house anthems.

There are a few other clubs that play more tech and deep house, but psytrance just isn't that big here. Most people would probably point to a virtually complete absence of drugs here for that being the case.

Seoul's big clubs are all about the table/bottle/private room service crowd, mostly commercial big room "put yo f'n hands up" tunes.

I doubt that will change in the next few years.

There is that occassional psytrance party but nothing on a regular basis and barring a few talented exceptions domestic psytrance DJs in general seem to be lacking in terms of being anything close to cutting edge or even progessive (i.e. you'll find annoying Skazi guitar riffs mixed onto drab, cheesy full-on tunes from 2011.) I head to Koh PhaNgan, Thailand for my psy trance.
