Thanks a lot - you're a champ.
Could you explain the "Time/Temperature". What do you guys usually have it set on?
Also, the offer still stands. I'm in Jumunjin, on the East Sea. Where abouts are you? |

Pretty much all boilers in Korea can run on two different ways.
1., you set the room temperature to say 25 Celsius and it will run continuously until the measured temperature reaches that.
2., you can set the temperature of the water that circulates in your floor and the frequency of the heating periods. One cycle is usually 20 minutes. So if you set the time to 1 hour than your boiler will run for 20 minutes than turn off for an hour and run for 20 minutes… so on. This works well when your floor is already warm, otherwise 20 minutes of heating won’t do much.
The water temperature and intensity depends on a lot of things you will need to experiment. In our previous home I would start at 50 Celsius in the fall and set 60-65 Celsius in the middle of the winter. In our current home the pipes are deeper in the concrete or I don’t know but for winter months I have to use it on the maximum: 85. Once the floor is warm a 20 min. cycle about every 2 hours will keep it that way. (less if it’s very cold outside and/or your place is not well insulated and more if the opposite) |

RIght on with what Lazio said with the rest, that also explains the thing that I said I didn't understand before with the going out, operating stop section with the time above it, I guess when you change that black thing from time to temperature (I didn't even realise I had that same black switch til now haha), I also didn't notice there was a six-pack in it too haha, If I am ever over that way.... |

Hi, upon revisiting this post (as it's started to get cool lol) I realized that I'm still a bit puzzled by this set of controls (the one on the right, that is):

There are two columns of "50 - 10" on the left and "10 - 50" on the right. Could someone tell me how exactly I should play with those two columns (and what each of them means)?
I imagine they work in conjunction with
Time vs. Temp:

For example, how would I set my timer to one hour? or do the 60-65 C temp?
Thanks again! |
