I suspect I know the answer to this question, but is there a maximum size, by law, that a hagwon kindergarten can be? Assuming just one teacher in the classroom.

I have worked in KGs that have had in excess of 600 kids (in Korea).

Size (as in enrollment numbers) is a matter of physical space within the school and classroom capacity based on classroom sizes.

I am not 100% sure but at the Kindergartens I know about. There is 1 teacher if there are about 12 kids and 2 teachers when it gets to about 20 kids. I don't know the cut off because none of the classes have 14-18 students so it should be somewhere in there.

This sounds about right, I'm not sure if there's a law but there are restrictions due to insurance. So I guess it depends on what Insurance the hagwon has.

That's like stealing a job from 60 teachers, or is that saving us from doing it? Smile
