For those who choose to have housing allowance, does your school tax it or do they give you the exact number stated in your contract? |

Any cash that is paid is classed as revenue. revenue is taxed. If your employer pays it directly to their landlord they will get taxed. |

Pension and severance are based on your salary exclusive of your housing allowance. That's why employers bother to separate the two. |
