|
|
I left Korea and the new teacher received a letter from the national pension service that was sent to my old address for me. It was titled "Application of individually insured status for foreigners". Does anyone know what this means? Has anyone been through this form??
Thanks in advance |

From NPS:
| Quote: |
| Foreigners residing in Korea are subject to the compulsory coverage of the National Pension Scheme, just like Korean nationals. So, if a foreigner aged between 18 and 59 is working in a workplace covered under the scheme, he/she shall mandatorily be a Workplace-based Insured Person, or an Individually Insured Person. |
I think this is the application to join NPS individually when you are not covered through the employer. Seems normal for you to have received this since you finished your contract and have not since re-enrolled through another employer. |
