Hello everyone.
I am now preparing some documents and paperwork in Canada, so I am ready to send out resumes and go to interviews in Korea later. (I am going there as an university exchange student for half year, but I actually completed my degree this December.)
I am just wondering if I am lucky to be accepted as the ESL teacher. Then how am I going to get the E2 Visa? Do I have to come back to Canada and do my visa application there:??
Does anyone know about this? |

If you are in Korea and find a job as an E2 teacher then you simply do a visa run to Japan to change from whatever visa you are on to an E2.
In many cases, if you have a visa that has an ARC you can do a change of status to an E2 at the local immigration office without need of a visa run.
You need to have a valid RCMP check with a Korean Embassy certification stamp as well as a certified true copy (notarized copy) of your degree with a Korean Embassy certification stamp.
The RCMP check will only remain valid for 6 calendar months from date of issue.
