You know what's odd? Looking at the zone of control map, conspicuous in its absence is any drawing of a line related to Taiwan.
Taiwan seems to be suffering some sort of East Asian Castro/Cuba syndrome where they've been relegated to the back burner and dropped down on the list of villains for the Chinese. Maybe in a few years they'll get Castroed in the Chinese media and transformed from arch-Supervillains into bumblers, weary rivals, and cartooney adversaries.
