I am getting crunched in next year's South Gyeongsang Province cut back. I have been in the same Elementary School for five years, the local county is cutting all NET teachers next year, so I was told by both my school and recruiter to re-apply to a different school, there will be openings in Elementary Schools in the province. (so they say) According to my recruiter, the province is requiring me to start over the whole entire application process: Video-application-and even background check. Even if I spent one day in the USA while visiting, I must do a brand new FBI check! I would love to stay in Korea, but...?
I don't think I will re-apply, they do not give a five year teacher any consideration. Taiwan, China or the Middle East here I come! |

I'm surrised they are cutting all elementary school teachers. For a while basically all elementary school teachers were safe while middle and high school teachers feared being cut. Nowadys it seems no one is safe. |

Yes I do need a vacation....but understand, If you visit the USA, your home country, for a day while working here, when re-applying to another school, you must get a new background check! (They will hold the old one until the new one arrives)
Re apply...two page minimum single spaced lesson plan. Geez! |

I highly doubt it. You need to get your new visa/extension. After that is done, you should be allowed to come and go. It functions as a multiple entry visa. |
