I live in Maseok which is right next to Hopyeong. It's a nice mountainous area. Plenty of hiking. The summer's are a bit cooler, the winters a lot snowier than Seoul.
I can make it to downtown Seoul in about 40 mins by car. There are lots of express buses and subways out here. Some interesting sites like Mongolian Village in the Sudong Valley.
I would recommend this area if you can find a job. |
