If you were to make a list of the most inspiring movies, what would be on it?

What do you think of that list? Would yours look similar?

Have you seen this movie? It is so good. It turned me from a Scrooge into a more generous person. Today at school I gave a 한라봉 to each teacher/staff member (and some cleaners) at my school. It cost me 100,000 won. The movie inspired me to do that. The song Auld Lange Syne from that film is so beautiful. It really touched my heart. |

Not true. Last night I was with expats. Everyone I talked to about the movie had never seen it. These people were in their 20's; you're in your 40's, so maybe there is a generational gap. Among young people, newer movies are more well known. Every single Korean I have talked to about It's a Wonderful Life has never seen it or even heard about it. |

| I'm 30 and I've never seen "It's a Wonderful Life." I see it on TV every year but I always flip right past it. I have a general idea on what it's about as it's referenced in just about everything this time of year but no I've never watched it for more than 10 seconds. |

Any movie by Jean Pierre Jeunete inspires me to save more money, study languages, and reminds me there is more to life than teaching efl in korea.
And 2010. It always reminds me to keep things on perspective. |

Me neither. Along with Titanic, Tree of Life, Life of Pi, or any other crap that critics and their sheep call "Life-changing", "Inspirational", or when you know it's utter dreck: "Must see movie of the year"

Life of Pi was decent. I didn't find it inspirational I just thought it was a neat story and an easy watch. I saw it about a year or so after it came out and it was on HBO so I turned it on and was pleasantly surprised.
Not judging, just curious as to what you found inspirational about Taxi Driver? |
