I am not saying this is the best but I just read that Merle Haggard gave his bus driver and lifelong friend half writing credit for his hit song, "Big City" back in 1982 which earned him a half million dollars. I thought that was pretty cool story!
Oh, and while that song you posted was ok, I doubt many people would agree that the best country song came from Dean Martin of all people. Just saying.....
