My Korean language level ability is now intermediate.

Language skills have the potential to be valuable in so many ways.

One way is by being a translator (possibly free lance).

U of Toronto and many other places offer online certificates in translation.

Any feedback about becoming a translator?/Personal experiences?

Thanks in advance.

The only advice I can give would be that intermediate level Korean wont allow you to translate much of anything that will pay. People that make money translating typically do so with stuff like product specifications, legal documents, marketing briefs...etc. )at least to the point that they require a license to do so)

It is a good idea, but honestly for the sake of your own name and reputation, get the license if you can, but try to improve your Korean to a higher level before you put yourself out there as a "translator"

Certificates are not really necessary.

I think the best way is to find a medium you enjoy whether it be comics, books, tv shows, etc. and study while having fun.
