So my recruiter offered me a job and I agreed to it. He showed the details of the position. The job is in the place I want to go. However, I am not sure what all this means. I asked him about the required documents for Visa. In regards to the contract, he said he would send me the contract when the school agrees to employ me. Not sure what to make of all this, after all he said he offered me the position. I suppose he might mean, until the school officially decides to employ me. Lately the recruiter has been just telling me to have my documents ready to be sent, when I get offered a job.

Anyone with more experience in regards to dealing with recruiters tell me what the usual procedure is?

Recruiters don't employ you. So if he is offering you a job - it means he has a school in mind that may like to hire you. Nothing done and and settled till you have a contract in hands, a visa in your passport, and you're on the plane.

Even if you don't have to interview with the school - what then does that say about the company and its hiring practices, none the less all other practices of theirs... Shocked

The process of getting a teaching job in Korea really is obnoxious. The school has to agree to hire you. The problem with that is the schools can be fickle, even more so than the recruiter, particularly since there is quite a few teachers around now.

It might be important to note that I gave him a test video of my self. so maybe that is why I am not getting an interview.
