Ok, so after sending a copy of my background check and copy of my degree, both of which are apostilled, to a recruiter. They tell me I need to get it apostilled. The problem is, they are apostilled, but at the back of the documents. That means I have to send the documents in two pages, and so it doesn't come across as 'official' when I send it. Another problem is, I'm afraid to put an apostille at the front in case it covers up any important information on the page for the Korean Embassy to see. This is especially bad for the criminal background check because its a regular a4 page. The stamp is large enough.
I mean, what am I supposed to do here? Really!
It might help to note that I am Irish. |

I know the problem. All UK documents are apostilled on the back.
The stamp is faintly visible on the front though. |

what I did anyway, is I sent out a video demonstrating that have been apostilled. The video shows me turning the page, to demonstrate that each is the same document. I hope it works. |

Haha there are so many potential glitches in the visa process in Korea you have to go to extreme lengths just to have peace of mind.
I was thinking about designing a video game around the mission to get an E2, with a level 2 of actually surviving the hakwon itself.

I am havign a related problem. I went to immigration to get copies of my documents to transfer contracts but my recruiter said that there is no seal?
The seal is on the back, correct? But I also got an extra form with the documents to say they are something, I can't remember what, but I remember I got some extra forms.
Will this cause me problems later? Can I go back to immigration and get something sorted out? Like the back of the documents copied or something?
This is too annoying haha |

Surely any documents copied by immigration can easily be verified by a simple phone call to the offices?
Only time I've been asked for a seal, was with transcripts. In which case an ink stamp from my university over the flap sufficed. |

That would make sense. If anything I find it strange I have to get the copies of documents from one immigration office to give to another so surely just a phone call or something would be ok?
Just my recruiter seemed so confused so I don't know if what I got was wrong (again, it seems strange to give me useless documents) so I'm not sure if I should go back (which I would rather not have to do as it will be a hassle and I will have to get someone to translate this time) or if the documents I sent will be fine. |
