Should I do it? Should I go and get botox?

Seriously, you gotta see my forehead wrinkles. It's like a person took a knife and carved in three gigantic wrinkles. I'm wondering if I should go get some botox done. But I hate the idea, and look, and possibly feel of it. Yikes!

Anyone get it done before? Reply here or PM me! I want to know the costs, details (what the hell does botox feel like?) and if I should do it.

Seriously, I'd look 5 years younger without these darned wrinkles!

I haven't done it myself but I saw a sign at the dermatologist's advertising Botox at 300,000 won and window signs in Thailand advertising it for $20.

I inquired a few years ago with my skin doctor and he told me 50,000won a shot. Not sure how many shots you need of botulism to get rid of wrinkles.

Then he told me I was too young, and I've never pursued it since.

First of all, calm down.

These major wrinkles are clearly impressions that have had time to take on form, so I'm assuming your pretty fresh here.

Noticing things that never mattered so much outside Korea become extremely noticeable here, especially when it comes to your face, body, and outward appearance. This feeling will pass once you start to realize that it's not such a big deal.

If you do want to go under the needle then go for it. I've asked a friend and she said it's 200,000won or so for an injection. But remember, that you're in for a great deal more touching up to every part of your body the more you take into shallow impressions of difference in a homogenous environment.

If you've always had a problem with your brow lines, then I can understand your reason for doing it here; it's cheap. I hope after you do it you feel great (at least until the 6 or so month warrantee is up..upon which time you may end up with even worse, unproportional, Vanessa William lines...or her permanent bovine toxic beamer)! Good luck. Confused

look beautiful has a price..

some people spend 1-2 million a year on average just for basic treatments
laser pulse and Botox together..

there is a place in Itaewon go check it out.. ask around.

the technology is changing all the time due to the huge demand in this country. the prices are coming down.

but expect to pay 300K for the full botox treatment, goodbye wrinkles!

Don't submit to this perfect physical appearance mentality that you are surrounded by.
Man....this whole country needs to let this stupid notion go.

Getting Botox isn't that bad. It hurts a little bit and sometimes you'll have a small bruise that lasts a couple days. If you're unlucky you'll get a reaction and will have swelling but that goes away too. After the injections you'll have the freakiest feeling of your forehead shrinking. This will last for about a day. The worst part is if you get to much Botox you can't squint. Kinda sucks when you're in bright sunshine. Then you get to repeat the proceedure in a couple months.
PM for my docs number.

I use a tinted moisturizer with an SPF 50 every day and a bit of bright lipstick so that people will notice my smile rather than my imperfections. We teacher's don't need to waste our hard earned won on these things.

This is the best advice I think.

Korea can contribute or aggravate a lot of insecurities that you never knew you had... and if you actually gave into all of them and actively did something to reverse them, you'd probably look like someone out of Big Bang at the end of it... even if you're not Asian.

If students are giving you a hard time about it, just tell yourself 'they're kids'. If your co-workers are giving you a hard time about, just tell yourself 'they're Koreans', and if your waeguk friends are giving you a hard time about it, get new friends.

This was my first reaction to this question too. But then I got to thinking that it won't work for everyone depending on hair types. God forbid OP goes out and gets a Donald Trump toupee type bangs. Surprised
