If anyone here likes to hit the casinos on occasion, it'd be fun to hear about your victories and defeats.
One year, I lived at the bottom of Walker Hill, so money, free food/drinks and eye candy were a constant siren song. The best I did then, going on average twice a month, was to win about 2.5 twice in one week.
I netted about 15.0 over the course of a different year when I lived near the Hilton casino, but Walker Hill always seemed to be the bigger payout.
I definitely had a few blowouts where I left ready to fall off a bridge or steal a car and rob a bank.
I didn't leave with too many awesome stories- like one i read about where a guy won a bit and bought a car from another player on the spot who needed the cash. Anyone got anything like that or something on the higher or lower spectrum?

I need cash so I wanna sell a car, a Kia Retona.
Wanna buy it? That would be awesome.

I visit walker hill once or twice a month. I never risk a lot (1-2 hundred thousand), mostly there for the eye candy/food and low amount table games. If I double my bank, I stop, so it's never a big win/loss for me.

I met a Chinese guy from Macao in the Philippines who's a casino game/hardware salesman (tables, machines, etc). He told me that Korean casinos have some of the highest payouts (about 10% of takes) in Asia.

Macao is first, just because of their volume. Korea is second (except for Kangwonland, where payouts are about half of the 'foreigner only' places, 5%!!) Philippines, Myanmar and Cambodia are the worst.

His one word of advice-- stay away from the electronic games (slots, video poker/roulette).

It is fun watching the Chinese and Japanese throwing down millions and burn through it in 15-20 mins!

My problem with Korean casinos is the weirdos you can run into. I don't really like to talk to the ethnic Korean players, especially the ajummas. They can be really loud and rude and stuff.

It’s worth going to that place just for the atmosphere, I wouldn’t expect to make any dough though

The Korean casinos just have no vibe and atmosphere. There is an energy to gambling and a good vibe makes all the difference.

Case in point, one night its a mixed bunch of younger people- Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, Malaysians, etc. People are talking to each other, not overly jolly, but still relaxed. People are smart players, but no one is lecturing each other on decisions and we just could not stop winning.

Next day, its the ajosshi table. These guys all think they know some magic strategy that's going to win. They're rude and snap at the other players. They get stunned and angry when their pair bets or insurance calls don't work out (can't imagine why).

The ajossis with fake or dual nationalities are dicks in the 7Luck casino.

While having a chat about football at a roulette table an ajossis kept telling us that we couldn't talk at tables. We weren't loud and this was during the usual breaks in the action.

Next thing we know, the pit boss came over and asked us to leave for disturbing customers.

Absolutely! The worst table I ever sat with were ethnic Koreans from Russia. They seemed like an experiment in fusing the worst elements of two nationalities into a surly and aggressive blackjack posse.

Also, tonight, in a non-gambling area of the US, I bought a stack of international currency in an online auction for $60. I could see a KR adjumma 50k note poking out, so I'm hoping there's some other good stuff. (small victories)

Lows: You get your money taken for nothing. Money that could have been used to make more money on the stock market.

Highs: You walk in with 100-500k and walk out with 800k-5.0. It's a matter of aversion to risk and how much Sweet Baby Jesus loves you.

It was just an excuse to make you leave. You probably were not betting much, and they'd rather have your space at the table open so some rich smelly Chinese guy could play.

I was sitting in a chair at a blackjack table at the 7Luck Hilton when two asian guys come over and one rudely tells me to "MOVE." I assumed so that he could watch his friend play? I said "No, I'm not going to ****ing move." Then I got kicked out for swearing. Now, they have stools that are cemented into the ground so it's impossible to "MOVE."

When we were asked to leave there were 4 people on the table, including ourselves. I don't go to casinos often but I'm not afraid to throw down a few mil.

Obviously nothing to most big players in the casinos here but it's also not your usual 2500w bets by people just looking for free booze.
