Was wondering if anyone here could give me some info.

I have a job and the visa expires at the end of February.
I was offered a new job and have given my new employer all my documents. I'm currently on vacation and return to Korea on the 13th. The new employer initially said they would get my visa in early February but have changed that to late February.
Does anyone know how long it takes for employers to get a visa? Also, do I need to go on a visa run?

Transferring your visa from one employer to another takes about 30 minutes with you there at the counter (since your actual passport and ARC are needed).

If you are outside of the country and have an unexpired visa (with a valid ARC) in your possession there is NOTHING they can do about it until you return.

1. Does anyone know how long it takes for employers to get a visa?
New visa = 1 or 2 weeks for the employer to get a VIN.
Transfer visa = instant (they do it while you're there at the immigration office).

2. Do I need to go on a visa run?
New visa = yes.
Transfer visa = no.

Just another question:
Can you get an E2 visa for a 2 year contract?

Yes, BUT the (E2) visa needs to renewed annually.
