I just saw some kind of weird Burger King special for 2 on Naver.

It had a Whopper Junior and a Bulgogi Burger.

Then it said it had a "cheese wedgie."

Boy, that just ruined the whole meal for me.

Ha ha.

I haven't seen the ad (or didn't notice it) but I have heard the term "cheese wedgie" used in America. Like a thick sandwich usually.

Don't you mean cheese wedges? As in potato wedges covered with cheese.

Burger King. My favorite fast food burger. McDonald's at Itaewon is so much cheaper though I usually hit McD's.

I've heard that term as well, but I've also heard the term "wedgie" for a sort of sandwich. I think they've always been triangular in shape when I saw them so I presume that "wedgie" is used as a diminutive form of "wedge".

Of course, I've also heard the term wedgie used (a lot more commonly, in fact) to refer to when you grab someone's underwear or pants from behind and lift the person off the ground, and thus wedge the poor guy's underwear into his butt crack (and likely squish other important bits and pieces in the process).

I believe the atomic wedgie is from the front - much more severe. Either that, or it's when the underwear is brought up over the head and face. Can't remember.

While I don't recall ever being a recipient of such treatment since I generally had older and therefore bigger friends during my formative years, I remember seeing these human rights abuses perpetrated again classmates. Ouchie.

edit: according to the urban dictionary, the atomic wedgie just refers to the underwear going over the head, regardless of direction. So, I guess that's settled.

There is a Seinfeld episode where George gets an atomic wedgie in gym class. Funny episode.....the Tropic of Cancer one.

Cheese wedgie are potato slices with a somewhat cheesy tasting sauce. They aren't too bad.

The burgers are smaller than whoppers though.

Wendy's is the best amongst the major franchises but they're not in Korea anymore. Very Happy
