They think she deliberately caused a pile up which included herself so she could be the first to get up from it and go on to claim a silver medal? Rolling Eyes

The falls are part of the sport but the ice seems especially bad at these Olympics. It was a shame that it happened this way because it shaping up to be a helluva good race.

Isn't that why the judges disqualified her and took away the silver?

Hey, I don't know anything about speedskating but there must be easier ways to get a medal.

It's a miracle in these collisions that someone doesn't get shredded by a skate ala Clint Malarchuk.

I can see nothing wrong with this plan.

Maybe I've been in Korea for too long! Twisted Evil

Team GB needs some laser pens. They could try shining them in their opponent’s eyes too.

Easiest Gold medal ever? Steven Bradbury, Australia. This is how you do it.

Uhm, no. Do you really think people train for years just to intentionally cause a wipeout?

I didn't say that. I thought that was the reason they disqualified her. So I asked a question.

Anyways, it says in the article, when a skater causes a crash and takes down other skaters, they are automatically disqualified. I don't know why she's so upset over the ruling.

I'm guessing these kind of things happen so quickly, no one's really sure who's fault it was and she said she thought one of the skaters had hit her. If that's the case and she isn't lying then I imagine it would be pretty upsetting.

I've already seen several Korean skaters blocking and cutting up other skaters in this Olympics. Only reason it didn't cause a pile up was because other people possess peripheral awareness.

So in the heat of the competition the Korean skaters are single-minded and selfishly focused on the finish line? Those crazy, crazy Koreans.
I'll cut you off, block you and give you a shot in the junk if the ref's say its within the rules.

This.................

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMa4nGf9hSY

The Korean gets a severe pummeling at the Seoul Olympics.

The most one sided beat down in Olympic history. Yet the Korean cheats (nothing new here) award the gold medal to the Korean (nothing new here), who had been tore a new one by the American (nothing new here).
