Finally.
I guess Americans don't get off on that british way of subtly winding up whoever you're interviewing. |

That's nice, dear, but it sounds like he will still be with CNN in some capacity. Let us know when his pansy-ass has a one way ticket to Heathrow. |

He wasn't exactly popular in the UK either. |

He's still better than Larry King. Anyone would be. |

He was, however, absolutely and completely correct about the NRA and guns. This isn't the 18th century. There are no more Indians hiding behind trees, the Spanish, French and British aren't about to invade. There is no sane justification for an urban gun culture that kills thousands each year. The 2nd amendment was passed in 1791, and reflected realities of rural life in that stage of American development. No one imagined it would be used to justify the ownership of weapons of mass destruction in an urban setting two centuries later.
We often talk about Korea needing to be dragged into the 20th century. With regard to the gun culture, that applies to the US as well.
So Morgan was right about that fact. I guess Americans didn't want to hear it from a 'ferner', as evidenced by the petition to have him deported. My only fear is that the NRA will cite his being replaced as a victory and resolve to redouble its 'guns are good' propaganda. |

That "urban culture" - and we all know who we're really talking about - actually provides the strongest argument in favor of civilian handgun ownership, though not as unrestricted as the NRA would have it. |

Don't know the background but it looked like from the interview he was just talking about banning the type of gun you can use to spray bullets around a school/office/cinema. Not self-defences type handguns. |
