I have a pretty standard hagwon job and recently I was offered a part-time job teaching English at a software company.

How do I go about this with an E-2 visa? The software company is asking for my visa and ARC information, but I feel a little unsure. I know private lessons are frowned upon, but what about legitimate part-time jobs? They want to do everything above board. What steps should I take to make this happen?

Thanks!

Not just frowned upon, they are illegal. If it's not in some way affiliated with your hagwon, then I doubt there's any legitimate way.

Not 100% on procedure but probably something like this: Check your contract with your school to see if it forbids you from having a second job. You also probably need the consent of your current employer in writing, you need to go to immigration and fill out the Integrated Application Form and check off "Addition of Work Place" http://www.hikorea.go.kr/pt/DownLoadTemplPopupR_en.pt. I think you need to give them the schedules of both places you will be working and pay a fee of 120 000 KRW
