I am supposed to interview with CPIS in Mokdong. I can't find much about this school. Does anyone know anything about it, as far as being an okay place to work?
Thanks! |

This is a terrible hagwon.
Avoid working here AT ALL COSTS. It's not worth the misery.
This business is shady (it's a business, not a school...just the illusion of a school), they'll take advantage of you as a foreigner and will withhold your pay. |

Isn't this the company in which Issac Durst is a majority shareholder or half-owner? He interviewed me in 2008 for a position at one of his schools in Gongju City and told me that it was a nice, friendly place in which to work with some other foreign teachers. He was supposed to let me travel to the interview with him in his chauffer-driven car. He told me at the last minute to take the bus. I went down there and met the most unfriendly bunch of local teachers, and the institute told me that they'd never had a foreign teacher. They made me wait for a couple of hours and talked to me like I was a P.O.S. Durst did not show up at the hogwon and was unapologetic for the cruddy way I was treated when I called him on the phone about it, saying: "Oh, that's not like them. Bye, I have to go." Issac Duufus was a jerk to me on that day. |

This is not the company with Isaac Durst. This is a single owned Hagwon in Mokdong.
However, this place should really be avoided at all costs. It's not worth the year of misery. |
