Hello all,

My recruiter has requested that I order 2 sets of sealed university transcripts in preparation for getting a job in Korea.

I've called my University's admin office and they claim that they will only send them to their final destination in Korea otherwise they will not be accepted.

Has anyone had any experience in this area? I was thinking of just ordering them to my house, then putting them in a larger envelope so that the seal remains intact. Is this viable?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Apologies if this is an existing thread or is in the wrong place.

Cheers

Make sure that the transcript is signed and sealed. I had no problems with immigration.

Thanks for the reply. Did you just take them with you in person or have them sent to the school once you had a job secured?

I had handed in themselves. The only time people need transcripts are

1) For job requirement. Usually EPIK/Public School and University jobs.
2) For Canadians to verify Degree. But that goes to consulate.

Do make sure your recuiter actually needs them. Cause if this is for hagwon I would say NO need.

When I order university transcripts I ask for 5 at a time usually. I specifically tell my university that they need to be sealed with a stamp on the back and then I have them mail them to me in a larger envelope. That way I have copies available if and when I change jobs.

Make sure you definitely need them, I had a recruiter tell me I needed 2 sets of sealed transcripts for a hagwon job. This is an old requirement, and upon double checking, I didn't need them after all. I was pretty relieved, as my university charges £100 per set of transcripts aside from the initial set they give you when you've graduated.
