I know there are many posts related to D10 visas, but I haven't found an answer to this.
My current E2 visa expires next week on April 4th, and I am planning to apply for a D10 visa. I will look for work, but if I don't find any work I will be heading home for all of July and August.
If I cancel the D10 visa how long will I be able to stay in the country? I would want to get my pension in lump sum at the airport. Would I have enough time to cancel my visa, go to the NPS and show my visa is canceled and that I have a plane ticket and then get it at the airport when I leave?
Thanks for any advice. |

Maybe I misunderstood your post, but if you plan to return after your time at home in July/August, you may not have to cancel your D-10. I believe you can be out of the country for up to 90 days.
You also may be able to collect your pension (either at the airport or the long way) without cancelling your D-10. I haven't tried it myself, but you tell the pension office you aren't coming back, and the immigration checkpoint at the airport that you are. Would work better with the airport refund I assume, as for the bank deposit they check to see if you left the country, and they may check to see if you cancelled your visa as well. |
