I notice at Costco that most Koreans have their phone number registered so that when they use cash they can register it as a tax receipt. As I understand it anyone in Korea gets a small tax refund for using credit cards because it can be tracked (to avoid black market?). With a registered phone number, the cash purchases can also apply to the tax refund, just like credit card purchases.
Anyone ever register their phone for the "cash receipt" feature to save on taxes?
Thanks |

You can but the amount of tax refund you'll get is significantly lower than it used to be a few years ago.
I know a lot of people who don't even bother with it now. |

Thanks |
