I'm looking to buy an Iphone with a two-year contract within the next couple of weeks. My ARC doesn't expire until early 2016 so that shouldn't be an issue. What other documentation, if any, should I bring with me? I have a regular (non-smart phone) phone with SK Telecom. Would I be able to just switch my current contract over, or would I need to fill out a whole bunch of paperwork and start a new contract?

And, can anyone give me an idea of how much I'd be looking at for an Iphone 4/4S with a contract?

Finally, are all Iphones in Korea locked, or would I be able to take it back home after I leave and continue to use it?

As you can see, I'm pretty clueless about these things.

Thanks.

Iphone 4 and 4s should be free on a two year contract. The 4 definitely. The 5 price dropped down to around 500 with a two year.

I'll be doing this this week. I tried to do it last Saturday, but they don't do contracts on weekends (not sure what they do do on weekends). I'll just be bringing in my old contract. Pretty sure that will have the relevant info on it (plus, it's in their computer). Of course, I'll bring my ARC.

Can't really answer your other questions as I'm in the same boat. But did find out last weekend that (at least KT, not sure about SK) doesn't carry the iPhone 4. Just the 5 and 5S.

Just ARC if you had a previous contract with them.

Thanks! I suppose easy enough if your last phone was a smartphone. OP and I didn't/don't have one. Did you bring someone who spoke Korean or was there someone there who could speak English? (or, did you speak Korean?)
