Hi all -
I can't believe i can't find information on this subject. If someone teaches in SK for 1 year and returns home (in my case, USA), then decides to go back after ~6 months or more, what are the Visa Req's?
1.I've seen around the net that you don't need to do the interview again(T or F?)
2. I'm pretty sure you need to do the CBC again (T or F?)
3. If yes, does the FBI keep fingerprints on record or does that need to be done again?
4. Does Korean immigration keep copies of the certified diploma?
I'd like to avoid paying for things that don't need to be done. Thanks for any response. |

My understanding is that once your work visa has lapsed, unless you've been on a D10 (which it sounds like you haven't) it's a reboot, and you'll have to do everything you did the first time (+/- any changes enacted in the requirements since your original app).
I would actually be shocked if the FBI didn't keep fingerprints on record. |

If you were on an E-2 you have to do the entire process over again. College transcripts, copy of diploma, fingerprints, CBC etc etc. It will be like you were never here in the first place. |

The interview was done away with unless you have an immigration violation (overstay, illegal work, etc) against you in your immigration file.
