Hello everyone - I have a question regarding immigration and visas here in Korea.
I'd like to spend a month or two traveling SE Asia after my contract is up in a year. My plan is to leave my huge suitcase with a friend while I'm traveling with my rucksack, come back to Korea to pick it up after I'm done traveling, then going back to the States.
My E2 visa expires at the end of March. I'd most likely be re-entering Korea to pick up my things at the end of April or mid-May. Is there any waiting period to apply for a tourist visa? I'd only be back in the country for a week or so to pick up my things.
Also, I have two passports (a US and an Irish). If there would be a problem entering on my US passport could I just apply for an Irish tourist visa and enter that way?
I know you can apply for a 30 day extension on your E2, but I'm going to be gone for at least six weeks or so...
Any information would be greatly appreciated! |
