I was always on the fence with this one, but a few weeks ago I had the good fortune to see the Stones in Macau. They absolutely blew me away! I can only imagine how amazing they were back in the day, when they were only in their 50's. They really may be the greatest rock and roll band of all time. what do you think?

Flip of the coin for me. I really like both, and both are in my top 10 for sure. It really depends on the mood I'm in. Today, I'm more in a Stones mood. The Some Girls album is my favorite.

Saw the Stones in Jacksonville. Along with Sha Gha Khan and The J. Giles Band. I don't remember the Stones so much, but the other two made an impression.

but then again it was Florida, in the summer, and shroom season so who is really able to say?

prefer the Beatles but like them both, so a fence sitter

Although its not really an appropriate answer, I have to say Led Zeppelin FTW.

Pink Floyd. I chose the Beatles for the survey, though.

I think the Beatles are better musicians and songwriters, and the Stones are better performers. Given a time machine, I'd still choose to hear a Beatles record and see the Stones live. Granted, the Beatles had poor PA, but their concert films aren't that impressive.

I just can't imagine John Lennon writing a song like "Stray Cat Blues." But neither could I imagine the Stones writing "A Day In The Life."

Good call on the Stooges and The Who: Funhouse and Raw Power are amazing records, and Who's Next is one of my favorite albums.

I love some LZ, but there's a lot I don't really care for.

If you can't decide, Stan has the answer.

Here's a great tune with Beatles and Stones in it.
