I applied for EPIK in 2013 and made it past the interview in which I passed, but never ended up following through since I wasn't yet ready to up and move across the globe.
I have begun the application process again and I am hoping to be hired for Fall 2014. This time I am fully committed and ready to go. I am really hoping to be placed in Seoul.
I remember being told in 2013 that Seoul placements were limited. Does anyone know if SMOE placements just go to whoever applies first or do they look for more qualified applicants?
Personally I have an education degree, teaching certificate and 2 years teaching experience in the US.

| You sound well-qualified, you're probably more likely to be posted where you want. If you're interested, you might also be able to get a job at an international school (since you're a licensed teacher with experience). |

| It used to be easy to get a public school job in any part of Korea. In 2006, I did what you did. I made it past the interview but ended up in another job. I tried again recently, and was rejected. Your qualifications will help, but you need all the relevant paperwork and references. And it helps to get the paperwork in early. |
