Ok, so I want to apply for jobs in Jinju. My girlfriend lives in Jinju, so I was thinking of asking her to go around and handout my CV's to various schools, or asking her to find out about all schools in Jinju (both public and private).
If she was to just go find out, I would ask her to try and get an email address for me and I would apply directly myself.
As anyone ever done it this way? My friend did it when he was in Japan, except he went over to visit himself and just went around looking, in Osaka.
Has anyone ever looked for work this way? Has it worked? What are the pros and cons? Any advice? I want to be careful I don't waste her time. |

| Use the mail if you want to send a physical copy. If someone other than an actual applicant brought me a CV I would throw it in the trash. |

Just research their e-mail addresses. Who sends hardcopies these days? Or take a day trip if possible and do it in person. It will look better if it is actually you handing it in and may get you an interview on the spot. Like the other poster said, it would get thrown in the trash if it was someone other than yourself handing it in. |

| I wouldn't bother having her hand out your CV. That might work if you were making the rounds in person. The plan isn't totally without merit though. Your girlfriend could ask around to see if anyone is interested in hiring you. She might come up with some useful leads. If so, she should just ask them for an email address and then you can contact the school directly. |
