Many academics climb the greasy pole to the great jobs, only for old Rudolph to walk in and take one of the best jobs in academia without having to pay his academic dues.
So what do you think - is academia really the bullshit endeavour that Harvard obviously think it is or does climbing the greasy pole of PhD and constant publishing still have its merits? |

Well, I know he's had some relationship with the university for a while. My brother did his MBA at Harvard and is a huge Man U fan - he didn't trim his hair for 11 months in high school in an attempt to look like David Beckham. I remember him telling me about Sir Alex giving some talk there and showing a pic of the two of them at some event, my brother said he's been really involved with the b-school for years.
I think it's fair to say that students could learn a lot from a guy like that. |
