In say, a normal size bedroom, if someone sneezes, even into a handkerchief, you're probably exposed within 5 seconds. There's that many germs and it's expelled at that high a velocity. Unless you have a really good seal around your nose, you ain't doing much. Think of the tests they did to find out where feces particles land in your bathroom- EVERYWHERE. |

I also read that your tooth brush has to be 3 metres away to not get splashback  |
