The guy was really odd and wierd.
I suppose his angle was in behaving the opposite of how a grown man should, being an overgrown child.
His humor hit home because in the 80's many british men were basically doing that anyway.
It was a decade where manhood and malehood was derided and ridiculed and most male role-models or "heroes' in the public media were either clowns, effeminate or juvenile. He rode a wave. |

Someone mentioned that Rik Mayall had died, so I decided to check for myself.
I spent an hour Googling "Young Ones" and "Bottom", and have been asked to attend my local police station for questioning.
