Jason Lim is a Washington, D.C.-based expert on innovation, leadership and organizational culture. He has been writing for The Korea Times since 2006.

The "expert" has been writing for the KT for 8 years. Not much more to say.

The film takes place in Scandinavia where there's lots of snow and frozen stuff. That's why the people are blond and white. Would Koreans flock to see a white Pocahontas or Mowgli? Would they go to see the Lion King if he was a frog? That's animalism. Rolling Eyes

Very thought provoking. Would many people here want to watch a movie with a handsome Asian male lead?

"This is the real white privilege; that being white does not pigeonhole you into a certain preconceived notion of who you are or, even worse, could be."

LOL, did he see the cartoon that appeared in the Kyunghyang Sinmun last month which portrayed white English teachers as drug smugglers?

White English teachers have also been portrayed as gang rapists on Korean TV. Go to 6:30-

The show claimed to be reenacting events that really occurred.

I liked the movie "Hero" just fine, and that had a handsome Asian male lead character.

I don't watch kid's movies (which this was). Are you saying that kids would be less interested if the ethnicity was different?

I used to watch Bruce Lee movies when I was a kid, and I'm still a fan of Jackie Chan's movies.

I haven't watched Frozen, but I get the impression that Disney actually is very PC about making films of various races. Mulan had Asian characters, Aladdin had Arab characters, The Princess and the Frog had a black princess, the main character of Pocahontas was Native American, and so on.

Hopefully Disney will make a sequel of Mulan so the writer can calm down and relax.

It can be the heart-warming tale of how a plucky young Korean girl was instrumental in the creation of Hangeul.

Oh, shoot. Is there really a Mulan II? My wife watched Mulan recently on Netflix. She might be interested in the sequel.

Where in the article does he say Frozen is racist? Isn't more that Frozen has white characters because whites are racist?
