I'd rather be in Korea, than say London or NY at the moment....
Thank you hermit kingdom for helping to isolate me in my tiny rural Korean village!
I wonder if EPIK will start to turn away SA applicants soon?

With an international airport close by, that means you could be on the other side of the world before you develop the headache, fever, fatigue and joint pain which make up the early symptoms of an Ebola infection. The diarrhea, rash and bleeding come later. Hiccups is a particularly grave sign with Ebola. It means your diaphragm, which allows you to breathe, is starting to get irritated.

Keep an eye out for these ^ |

I was aware of Ebola as being a terrible, deadly virus, but that description of its pathology was genuinely horrific.

I wasn't aware there were ESL opportunities in North Korea? But World War Z suggests they may be coming for your teeth. |

There are ESL opportunities in NK - but they use 'British' English not US, US citizens needn’t apply. |

Yup. In the Civil War, northern farm boys would mix in with boys from New York, Boston, Chicago, and Philly. People always thought the farm boys were stronger and hardier, but they were the hardest hit by diseases because they hadn't had their immune systems built up the way the city boys had. |

I thought I had Ebloa once, I woke up out of a dead sleep with the worst stomach pain in my entire life. It was like someone was stabbing and kicking me in the stomach over and over.
Turns out it was the bad ranch dressing I ate that night. It gave me the worst smelling gas of my entire life, no joke I farted and it woke my wife up in a panic asking what the smell was. It didnt even smell like a fart, it smelled like death.
I was in the bathroom the rest of the night dying on the crapper. I didn't eat ranch again for a year after that episode.
That was my one and only experience with Ebola. |

You know if you google that phrase... In the ENTIRE internet world, only one perfect match comes up.
https://www.google.com/#q=it+didnt+even+smell+like+a+fart%2C+it+smelled+like+death
In fact it may be the first time in the history of the internet that someone referred to a fart smelling like death.
That was quite some ranch sauce. |

Naw it was a bad rememberance trip from your night out at Gimbap Nara. That bad occasional food poisoning that pops up here from time to time. Thankfully, Koreans have pretty effective treatment for it with IV's so long as you get sick Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 and 6.
Never got IV's back home. Usually just had to take gravol and wait weeks to get in to see the doctor by which time it passed and was a moot point. (Just so you know I praise Korea as well as criticize at times.) |
