Can anyone recommend a good VPN?
I want to watch movies on amazon and/or netflix so I need a VPN.
I know that I will have to pay for a good VPN.
Thanks in advance. |

StrongVPN has good enough speeds for HD streaming, but even better is StrongDNS. It's a DNS hosting service for $5/month and the speeds are much better, but nothing would be encrypted if that's important to you. If all you're doing is streaming, then I don't see why you would need any encryption.
StrongDNS works with all of the main services. I am using it for Amazon and Netflix. I have been using it for Hulu Plus as well, but it has been down recently. I'm not sure whether it's Hulu's servers or if they blocked the DNS service.
I put the DNS addresses for the StrongDNS service on a separate router for my PS4, and I have a separate router for my Korean IP address. |

+1 for hotspot shield. The free version sucks balls. Get the Elite version trial and wait for a 50% off offer after it expires. |

Can someone explain to me (in VERY SIMPLE language) what a VPN is and what the benefits are? |

VPN stands for "Virtual Private Network". When logged on, it allows your computer to obtain a different IP address from another country.
This is good for accessing sites which are "blocked" in Korea or if you are wishing for extreme anonymity while Web surfing.
Hope that helps.... |

The VPN I use, which is on my Android and Windows systems is called "Hotspot Shield Elite Version."
Though, I'm not sure if it's available for Mac. |

Not trying to hijack this thread, and looking for specific info on how to set up VPN for streaming Hulu Plus in Korea through my PS4 and PS3. Want to be able to watch Hulu Plus on my 55 inch TV in the living room, and TV in the master bedroom.
If anyone could post the process, I'd be grateful. |

TunnelBear - works pretty great with streaming stuff from the USA. Paid 30,000 won for a year during their Valentine's day sale, and am pretty satisfied. I remember paying $10/month for HMA - that was too much for slow connections. |
