|
|
I may be leaving Korea in the next couple of months and heading to China to teach.......
Before when I claimed my pension refund it was a few days before I left Korea and they wired it to my Canadian bank account. I was heading back to Canada at that time for a break.
What I'm hoping to do this time is apply for my refund to be transfered to my Korean bank account while I'm still in Korea. It seems that this should not be a problem.....what needs to be done is to show them a plane ticket that is less than 30 days in the future, my ARC and Korean bankbook.
I can then have the money in my Korean bank account and wire it/take out the cash before leaving Korea.
It is quite a large amount and I would feel better having the money before I leave Korea rather than waiting on the pension office to wire it to my Canadian account.
I understand that pension refunds are processed on the 10th of each month so I will keep this in mind with regards to the 30 day plane ticket amount of time.
Showing a plane ticket to China (rather than Canada) will not be a problem, correct?
Any personal experiences/insight?
Thanks in advance. |

The last time I got a refund my ticket was going to the Philippines and the money was put into my Korean bank account.
