I asked several adults about that.
They lose many of their holidays due to it (state holidays, no less).
So guess who else is gonna lose out? We are. We'll lose that 30+ holidays a year thing many of us are used to.
Why? Because Koreans will have to work them. |

| we may start to lose out on those holidays too but at least we have the freedom to negotiate more money or more paid holidays as a result. We still have a lot more freedom and leverage than Korean employees. |

SWEET! I start year 2 in a few months! 3 weeks vacation!! AHSA!
I feel for all the hogwon people out there that this law will apply to but the cruel hogwon master will not implement. Thank god I dont have to worry about that nonsense! |

I already get 3 weeks vacation. Should I ask for more now?
BTW:
How many sick days are office workers supposed to get?
How many "personal days"? I notice a lot of people in my office just take off "personal days". I wonder if those were menstral days because I notice the men don't take off as many days. So do women get more "sick days" now to compensate? |

Can I take a day off if my girlfriend is having mentrual leave?
I mean... I'm the one who has to put up with her during this time... I should get SOME concession, right? 
Wait...scratch that idea... it's best to hide at work than be around her much during such times! |

By law, none. This is strictly between your employer and you. I broke my ankle last December and was off for (more or less) the entire month - with full pay.
It really depends on your employer. I know there is some policy about sick time here but I never bothered to read it. All I know is that my sick time has never, ever been an issue and I have taken more then a few "hangover days" and "mental health days" as well.

| Everytime I am sick I just call and say I am sick. I have never been told if there is a certain number of days. Sounds good to me. |

Wait, I'm confused, what did the workers gain that makes up for all these concessions?
Why the hell do Korean workers like getting screwed over so much? Overtime at 1.25x? That's crap considering the hours that many bosses make them work. |

The overtime does not really matter because most people are on "salary" with no max hours. Therefore, there cannot be overtime.
Getting an extra week of vacation is nice. Most people at my company had only 2 weeks before; they now have 3. |

| This is only for companies with 1000+ employees. My company does not have that many and I doubt any of your hagwons do. |

10 days is the current law, yes. |
