Jeff Beck fried a passel of Fender Strats tonight in Seoul. I hope all of you got to see and hear it.
And since all posts must now be ferry, he wore a yellow ribbon in support of the victims, expressed his condolences and played "People Get Ready" in their memory. |

I expect that wasn't, as I first thought, indicative of a TIA in progress, but what does it mean? |

| You went to the concert? He can still play well? That's good. He's 70 now, so I thought maybe his playing ability has declined. I'm reading Rolling Stone Magazine's ranking of best guitarists of all time. #5: Jeff Beck. |

He played incredible, just some amazing stuff. There is only one Jeff Beck.
I was a little concerned because he was playing with a second guitar player rather than a keyboardist, but it seemed to free him from playing fills and the like. He just ripped from beginning to end.
And he didn't sit out when the other players soloed. He kept right, on backing them up and pushing them at the end of each phrase with one of his own.
And he played in the smaller Olympic Park hall so all the seats were good, even for those of us who aren't Bob Uecker. |
