They block hotmail and MSN where I work. They did it because they felt us foreign teachers should socialize more with Korean teachers during our break time rather than chat on the net (Grrr.).

Any idea how to cheat around it? I've tried proxys, but the don't work. I think they blocked the computers at our desks individually, because there is one computer I know of downstairs where it works fine (they forgot to block it on that one).

Bring a book to work and hide your face behind it during break time. Ignore anyone that talks to you.

Your situation could be this:
If the computers are all networked and one guy has administrative rights then you would need that persons password and access to their computer too maybe. That admin can also see a record of what each computer on the network has been used for so your potential 007 maneuvers could be discovered pretty fast.

On the other hand it's just a setting on the computer you're using. Click <start>, <run>, and type in gpedit.msc then muck around until you find the setting to alter. It will probably be very specific like "turn on" or "allow access to" ... etc. The gpedit.msc file is in my computer\ c\windows\system32 but you might have to change other settings on the computer before it is displayed.

Maybe somebody knows the specific setting.
