South Korea should be tilting even further towards China than they are now. The default position for Korean diplomacy should always be to befriend China and work with them to oppose Japan.
The S.Koreans should also be focusing on buliding a military that is capable of defending themselves from the Norks without the need to call on the US for help.
If they could persuade the Chinese that a unified Korea under Seoul's leadership would be preferable for China militarily, economically and politically then they would get much further towards that goal than with US stealth bombers. |

The US should seize this opportunity to get out of this place. No American should die for these ingrates. Cut the ties now. |

Maybe you should follow your own advice. |

China is the nuisance not South Korea. The US needs to do develop a focused policy of containing and minimizing China. Actually it's China that is ungrateful. |

The USA is on the way out thus there's no future in an alliance with them. Anyone smart would be thinking about the future, and that means China. |

The USA is dependent on the rest of the world and is hanging on by an ever weakening thread. They don't have the luxury of that cocky attitude. |

No way Korea would ever do anything more than a slight monetary tilt towards China. S. Korea is in too deep with the U.S. in terms of military imports, exports, and joint ventures.
Ironically, the idea of S. Korea participating in the joint Chinese-Russian exercises was brought up in one of my adult conversation classes today by a student. The idea was quickly dismissed by someone else who basically called it fantasy. I mentioned that such an act would result in the instant cancellation of the F-35 sale to the ROKAF and we both agreed on that. |

For now, but things change over time. |

Being that the overall culture in Korea is tied to China, wouldn't it make sense for China to even incorporate all of Korea, north and south, as provinces.
I definitely have seen Korea greatly leaning toward China during my large amount of time in Asia. |
