I've also noticed that outside of metro Seoul, Wonju-shi (Chiaksan) and Yeoju-shi consistently have some of the highest ratings (as bad if not worse than Seoul on most days). Someone told me it had to do with the rivers and condensation, but I didn't really follow and they may have been talking out of their ass anyway. |

If the local people tend to talk out of their asses a lot, then that might be a contributing factor the the excessive methane gas levels in the area.
Sorry to hear about your poor air quality. I'm sure specific geographical reasons are to blame (mountains, valleys, wind, climate, farming, factories etc) |

That's because there is a large office near the PM (particulate matter) reading machine and the office people think it's funny to ALL smoke in front of it, causing false readings.... |

Yeoju-shi . |
I live in Yeuju. The locals still think they are living in Yeuju-Geun. we're a CINO (City in Name Only)
My conspiracy theory: real-estate speculators are jigging the numbers to keep the price down. they've been moving up the Han-river basin and Yangpyung (just down river from Jeuju) have been, well, carved up. Now it's Yeuju's turn.
My scientific theory: Yeuju is at the narrow end of a funnel called Han-river basin. After Yeuju, it's mountains. All them air-born gift of the billion Chinese end up HERE. |
