Give yourself a pat on the back. Today was "Teacher's Day" in Korea.

In Korean, it translates "Bribery Day".

First I've heard of that. Was that a Christian school?

It was a holiday for me. Weather was dry that day and I went biking up a mountain enjoying the nice weather while it lasts. I thought of you all in class teaching though. Ha ha. Got another school holiday this Friday. Ha ha.

Yea my school had it marked as a holiday, but then cancelled it because of the ferry which made no sense to me, but I wasn't going to bother trying to figure out the logic.

Really? That's effed up! Are they going to take it later on at another date? Sorry to hear that, it really was a nice day. You should push or suggest taking a day in October (or after September 25th) to make it up. A school usually has so many holidays per year it can take. The weather is nicest at that time of year. Sometimes, when I explain logic to Kroeans, my suggestions will occasionally go through. Lol. (I try to get out while it's nice before the gross humidity creeps into Korea.)

My school cancelled other events and festivals. But, they will be rescheduled after June or July, maybe into the second semester. But, no days off are cancelled though.

PS Check your common sense at Incheon Airport. You can pick it back up on the way out. Ha ha.

I got a pair of nice socks from one of the best looking mothers of a student and a bottle of wine from another. Needless to say I was super happy about the socks!
