I have been self employed for almost 4 years now. So it's difficult for me to get a letter of recommendation from a "supervisor," as I supervise myself. Would a letter of recommendation from a client who I've worked with for years suffice?

Maybe but I'm guessing not. More likely you'd have to go back farther than 4 years for a prof or supervisor.

Can't you just make one up from some fictitious dude with a buddy's phone number? Get your buddy to say you were an impeccible dude. Problem solved.
