Hello Everyone,

I want to know if anyone has used CIEE.org for a job placement in Korea.

I've been in contact with CIEE, and I'm finding their extensive list of requirements just to apply to them ridiculous. The latest is that the recommendation, which must be on official letterhead, cannot come from a friend or same-level colleague. Well, I'm hardly going to tell management that I'm looking to leave to teach English in S.K. now, am I? That's like saying, "I hate you and give me all the crap work."

I've been working nearly all my ten working years in a government office. The prior place I worked was a small firm that has shut down. I don't have too many options, except my fellow law alumni, with whom I've worked on other matters, or gotten advice from, and friends.

So, has anyone used CIEE, and, a) is what they're asking for reasonable, and b) are they good at placements allowing me to feel this extra work is worth it?
