For those who may have missed it, here's President Obama's recent Climate Action Plan: http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/image/president27sclimateactionplan.pdf

While some critics - even those not obviously bribed by oil/gas interests - claim that implementation of such policies by the U.S. is useless when countries like India and China continue to produce greenhouse gases at high levels, the counter-argument is that doing something would be better than doing nothing.

I've always said that nuclear war was the most effective solution to the global warming issue.

Ever heard of nuclear winter? It really works. The perfect solution to all our problems!

Environmental Science studies are less about science and more about activism.

we are troubled by the recent research from the Institute for Trade, Standards, and Sustainable Development (ITSSD) that indicates that much of the U.S.-sponsored research behind the “scientific consensus” on global warming may be less rigorous than its advocates would have the public believe.

Climate scientists are nothing more than conga line dancers with they mouths on the government teat sucking for all their worth.

Oil/coal/chemical/meat industries also suck at the government's teat - while harmfully impacting the environment and funding/bribing their own (presumably biased) scientific studies.

Activism is good if it's based on real knowledge and actually protects rather than harms humans - who are interrelated with all living beings.

To the extent that activism is based on unfounded speculation and mere sentiment, it can lead to fanatical acts and bad effects.

Really. The American companies in these industries do not pay taxes? No wonder the US in such a debt mess.

Do not disagree with you here, but this should not be hidden behind a thin veneer of science.

Environmental Science degrees should be renamed Environmental Studies or Environmental Activism.

Doesn't have quite the same ring, does it?
